The Thirteenth Biennial Conference of the Asian Consumer and Family Economics Association (ACFEA) and the 2020 International Conference of Association for China Economic Studies (ACES) are going to be held jointly in the form of virtual conference.
Why Virtual Conference?
Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, this joint conference will be held in the form of webinars in order to avoid the spread of coronavirus and to protect every conference participant from the risk of being infected potentially. All sessions will be accessible via Zoom. The Zoom links for each session will be provided only to registrants. All attendees are able to participant in any session that are interested in.

2. Participants can save their time.
3. During Corona Virus outbreak, it is safe to stay not to travel.

About This Joint Conference
The Asian Consumer and Family Economics Association (ACFEA) has met every other year since 1995. The past twelve biennial conferences have been held in Malaysia, China, Korea, China, Taiwan, United States, Malaysia, Japan, and Korea, Taiwan, China respectively. The overall objective of the biennial conference is to improve the well-being of consumers, families and businesses in an era where disruptions constantly occur in all aspects of our lives.
In addition, the Association for China Economic Studies (ACES) has established by a group of scholars concerning China’s economic issues and contributed to economic research related to China since 2012 and has held an annual conference for many years. The goal of ACES conference is to provide a platform for scholars to exchange their views in issues regarding China’s economy.
This joint conference is an excellent opportunity to present scholarly works and obtain critical feedbacks in a professional setting. At the Conference, active and lively discussions are expected among paper presenters and other participants. There will also be intriguing keynote speeches by renowned scholars. We encourage the participation of both faculties and graduate students. Submissions can range from work-in-progress to completed articles aiming for journal publication. We accept empirical, conceptual, and theoretical research in all related fields.

All papers are supposed to be written and presented in the English language. However, written and presented in Chinese is also acceptable. Completed papers, extended abstracts (at least 500 words), or PPT file are acceptable for review.
Authors of accepted abstracts or papers will be provided with detailed guidelines to prepare papers for publication in the conference proceedings, which will be available on-line at the conference (http://www.asiancfea.org or http://www.aces.org.tw). Authors can provide a PPT file instead of a full paper. If an abstract, a paper, or a PPT submission is accepted, at least one author must pay conference registration fees no later than August 31, 2020, and promise to attend the meeting and present paper included in the electronic proceedings.
1. Format for Abstract and Full Paper (or Extended Abstract):
● In your email indicate article title, author(s) affiliation(s), mailing
address(es), phone number(s), and email address(es). Please make
sure to provide the above information for each of the authors.
● Submissions should follow APA Guidelines, 5th edition format with
special attention to headings and references. DO NOT include author
names in the file submitted. The maximum length is 20 double-spaced
pages, including tables, charts, and references integrated into the
paper. Running headers should not be used.
● Maintain 1-inch (=2.54cm) top, bottom, and side margins.
● Manuscripts should begin with an abstract of no more than 100 words,
and should NOT include the author(s) name.
● Create a file readable in the U.S. version of Microsoft Word. All
graphics and tables should be included in the file. Before you save the
file, click on File, Properties, and names or other information that might
identify the authors.
2. Criteria for Evaluation:
Submissions will be reviewed and evaluated on the basis of importance/relevance of the subject matter and the contribution to the knowledge base, appropriateness of the method, timeliness and usefulness of the (expected) findings, (expected) conclusions, and/or position, and adequacy of interpretation and implications. The Program Chairs shall determine the suitable session for each submitted paper according to the topic and the time zone presenter’s residence. If accepted, the author(s) is (are) responsible for presenting the paper at the conference and/or finding an alternate presenter.

Publication Opportunities
All papers presented in the conference will be published in the electronic proceedings. In addition, articles presented in this conference, written in English and outstanding in quality and content will be very welcome to submit their works to special issues of the following four journals.
Papers would like to be published in these special issues must be related to the main theme of respect special issue and will be selected on the basis of a blind peer review that is separate and apart from the review process for the conference.

than one presentation, the fee will be US$ 60 for each additional
presentation (e.g., $180 for two presentations, $240 for three
presentations).
● Regular Rate (August1~August 31, 2020): US$ 150 For participants
with more than one presentation, the fee will be US$ 60 for each
additional presentation.
